Classic Car Card

I made this card thinking of my dad. Both my brothers would probably love this card too. Do you have a man in your life who would enjoy a card like this? If so, you're going to like the He's the Man Specialty Designer Series Paper pack and the coordinating stamp set which offers lots of options for making manly cards.

Classic Car Card

Bundle: He's All That stamps and All That dies

DSP: He's the Man 12x12 Specialty Designer Series Paper

Use Crumb Cake card stock (8 1/2" x 5 1/2", then folded in half) to make the base card. The car paper is from He's the Man DSP (3 1/2" x 5 1/2"). Glue the DSP to the card base.

Stamp the Happy Birthday car image with Early Espresso ink on Crumb Cake card stock. Make sure your ink pad is really inky to get a solid ink image on the car, or use the Stamparatus so you can restamp it if necessary. Die cut the stamped image and a piece of Early Espresso card stock with the same All That die. Glue the two pieces together with the Early Espresso label sticking out on the left side to give the impression of a shadow. Adhere the car label to the card with Dimensionals. Add some embellishments to the bottom of the label. For this card I used the copper color from the Brushed Metallic Dots. The new Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots would probably look good on here too.

To make the card a little more interesting, I added two small banners to the bottom of the card. The beige paper banner was die cut from the He's the Man DSP (the back side of the car paper). The smaller banner was die cut from Early Espresso card stock. The two pieces can be glued together and attached to the card. The smaller piece kept wanting to come loose so I added Mini Glue Dots as a stronger adhesive. I also added a copper dot to the top of the banner.

If you haven't already seen He's The Man DSP, I recommend you check it out (click on the purple link). It has 10 pages that are double-sided and two sheets of die cut images. Besides the car paper, there's also camping, grilling and dress-up images. The website shows all the images on the die cut pages, as well as the other paper designs and some card samples at the end.

I also wanted to comment about the All That dies. Although the dies coordinate with several of the images in the He's All That stamp set, it's a versatile die set that can be used with a variety of stamp sets. It mostly has labels and banners. So even if you don't want the stamp set, I'd highly recommend this die set. Click on the purple link to see all the dies included in this set.

Have a great day!
